This design offers two distinct advantages: The fluorescent orange polyester sheath strands discolor above 400 degrees Fahrenheit providing a critical visual indicator, during post call inspection, that the rope has been exposed to high temperatures and requires replacement. The fluorescent orange also offers high visibility in smoky and/or dark conditions. Very controllable and smooth in a personal escape device. 100% nylon core.
